As Paris was on the brink of Nazi invasion in World War II, one man, with a deep love of art, knew he had just days to act. Jacques Jaujard, the director of the Louvre, devised an intricate plan to hide some of the world’s most important masterpieces and save them from Nazi destruction. Using interviews, rare footage (including Jaujard’s notebook), and supported by a dynamic narration, animated sequences of the protagonists embedded in archives and footage shot in situ, this films tells the story of the little-known man who saved the Louvre.
